The wine is made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes from this unique vineyard. After manual harvesting and careful grape selection, fermentation is carried out to preserve the character of the site. The wine is then aged for about 18 months in new French oak barrels , which adds complexity and depth.
On the nose it shows intense aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackberry and plum , accompanied by notes of cocoa, spice and subtle toasted hints. On the palate it is powerful, deep and very elegant , with fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. A limited-production Rioja with excellent ageing potential, perfect with red meats, game and refined cuisine.
