Granbazán Extra Brut represents an innovative project of the Galician winery Granbazán, focusing on demonstrating that the Albariño variety can produce high-quality sparkling wines. This sparkling wine was created in 2018 with limited production, using the classic fermentation method. The grapes come from Vedra, a region characterized by its Atlantic climate and the natural high acidity of Albariño, ideal for the base of sparkling wines. After secondary fermentation in the bottle, the wine is aged on lees for at least two years, developing complexity and maintaining its varietal character. On the nose, aromas of green apple, lemon, and brioche are perceived, showing a clear Atlantic expression. On the palate, it presents a tense, dry, and saline profile, accompanied by a fine bubble.
