Hacienda Monasterio Crianza 2022 is one of the most representative wines of Bodegas Hacienda Monasterio , located between Pesquera de Duero and Valbuena de Duero, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. The wine comes from its own vineyards planted in limestone soils at an altitude of over 700 meters, an environment that brings freshness and elegance to the grapes.
The winemaking process is based on Tempranillo in the majority, accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon and a small proportion of Merlot , a combination characteristic of the winery. After fermentation and prolonged maceration, the wine is aged for approximately 17 months in French oak barrels , where it develops complexity and structure while maintaining the expression of the fruit.
The nose is notable for its aromas of ripe black fruit, balsamic notes and spicy nuances , accompanied by fine toasted notes from the aging process. The palate is balanced, deep and elegant , with fine tannins and a long, lingering finish that reflects the character of the great wines of Ribera del Duero.
