Marqués de Valdueza Gran Vino de Guarda 2018 is an exceptional red wine produced by Marqués de Valdueza at the Perales de Valdueza estate, near Mérida, Extremadura. Coming from their own vineyards, this wine is part of the IGP Vino de la Tierra de Extremadura and benefits from a continental Mediterranean climate that, along with the region's poor soils, helps enhance the concentration of the grapes. Made with a blend of varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, this wine undergoes careful vinification, starting with manual harvest and strict selection of grapes. Each variety ferments separately, allowing the individual characteristics of each grape to shine. The wine is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels, followed by a period of refinement in bottle, providing depth and complexity.
