Narupa Piorno 2023 is an accurate interpretation of inland Albariño, produced by Narupa Vinos, a Galician project dedicated to showcasing the potential of vineyards far from the coast in the D.O. Rías Baixas. Sourced from old vineyards on granite soils, 16 km from the Atlantic, this wine delivers distinctive freshness and mineral character. Its vinification includes cold maceration before fermenting in barrels with native yeasts, followed by 10 months of aging on lees, imparting complexity and a creamy texture without losing varietal purity. On the nose, it reveals aromas of white fruit, citrus, and floral notes, with hints of vanilla and minerality. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with vibrant acidity and a long, dry finish. It pairs well with seafood, fish, and cheeses, and has good aging potential.
