Milsetentayseis Tinto 2020 is a wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by Bodegas Milsetentayseis, a project of Alma Carraovejas. This wine refers to the average altitude of the vineyards situated at 1,076 meters in Fuentenebro (Burgos), where the altitude conditions bring freshness and allow for a slower maturation of the grape. Its main production is based on the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) variety, sourced from old vineyards cultivated in poor, stony soils. The harvest is carried out manually, with strict grape selection, followed by spontaneous fermentation. The wine undergoes aging of approximately 18 months in French oak barrels and fudres, aiming for a perfect balance between fruit, elegance, and vineyard expression. On the nose, it presents a complex and profound character, with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, floral notes, and subtle spicy and mineral nuances. On the palate, it offers an elegant balance, fine tannins, good freshness, and a long, persistent finish, making it a refined Ribera del Duero with great personality, ideal for pairing with red meats, game, or traditional dishes.
