Our Hands by Jesús Mendoza 2024 is a very limited production red wine that originates as a personal project by winemaker Jesús Mendoza in Rioja Alavesa, specifically in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Made from old vineyards of selected plots like El Bombón and El Rayo, this wine expresses a modern and authentic interpretation of the terroir. Its fermentation occurs with native yeasts, followed by 12 months of aging in second-use French barrels, providing notable complexity without masking the freshness of the fruit. On tasting, its aroma is fine and elegant, with notes of red and black fruit, as well as subtle floral, spicy, and mineral touches. The oak is perfectly integrated, adding depth without dominating the wine's profile. On the palate, it is balanced, structured, and very precise, with polished tannins and fresh acidity that culminates in a long and persistent finish. It is a contemporary styled red wine with great personality, ideal to pair with red meats, game, or elaborate cuisine, but also perfect for enjoying alone on special occasions. It is a small gem among the new projects in Rioja, combining craftsmanship, origin, and precision.
