Milsetentayseis La Peña Rosado 2021 is a notable rosé wine from the Ribera del Duero, crafted in the historic vineyard La Peña, which spans just 0.46 hectares. Located over a thousand meters high in Fuentenebro, this vineyard combines centenary varieties of Albillo Mayor and Tinto Fino on soils rich in quartz, feldspar, and mica, offering a unique wine character. Harvesting is done manually in small boxes, and the grapes are gently pressed to preserve purity. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and seven months of aging in 600-liter French oak barrels on its lees provide depth and complexity. On the nose, aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, and rose petals unfold, complemented by a spicy and mineral touch. Its flavor is silky and vibrant, with excellent acidity, great volume, and a salty finish that highlights its elegance.
