Tartalo 2020. 75 centimeters.

Tartalo 2020 is a unique red wine made by Oxer Bastegietain Rioja Alavesa , from a small plot planted in 1920 in the Elvillar area. This wine comes from a historic vineyard grown on limestone soils at an altitude of 600 m, where a field blend dominated by Tempranillo (approx. 87%) is cultivated with small proportions of Viura and Graciano , which adds complexity and character to the whole.

Vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts in open oak vats and barrels, followed by aging for approximately 12 months in used barrels , seeking to preserve the purity of the vineyard and the expression of the landscape. This is a very limited production -about 1,500 bottles per year- that reflects the artisanal philosophy of the Oxer Wines project.

The nose displays notes of fresh red fruit accompanied by aromas of scrubland, thyme and rosemary with a mineral background. The palate is fresh, with excellent acidity and smooth, fluid tannins , offering an elegant and profound wine with great length and cellaring capacity.
