Vallegarcía Viognier 2023 is an outstanding single-varietal white wine from Spain, made exclusively from Viognier grapes. Produced by the Pago de Vallegarcía winery in the Montes de Toledo, this wine reflects the freshness and balance endowed by the region's altitude. The harvest is done manually to ensure the optimal quality of the grapes. The production process combines traditional methods with technical precision, fermenting part of the wine in French oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks. This approach preserves the varietal expression of the Viognier while adding complexity to its character. Aging on lees for six months gives it a creamy and enveloping texture. On the nose, aromas of ripe stone fruits like peach and apricot, along with white flowers and nuances of chamomile and fennel, are prominent. The delicate toasted and smoky notes from aging integrate seamlessly into the whole. On the palate, the wine is unctuous and elegant, with a balanced acidity that brings freshness.
