Viña Muriel Reserva Blanco 2015 recovers one of Rioja's most unique traditions: the production of great aged whites from the Viura variety. This wine, sourced from vineyards in Elciego, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, reflects the classic style of riojan whites aged in wood. Harvesting is done manually, ensuring the highest quality of the grapes. The must ferments for 20 days in French oak barrels, where it stays for 8 months on its lees. The wine is then refined with a minimum of 18 months aging in bottle, achieving a perfect integration of fruit, freshness, and aging. On the nose, citrus aromas, white flowers, vanilla, and delicate toasted notes can be appreciated, with hints of honey and nuts. On the palate, it is broad, silky, and balanced, with notable freshness and a long finish.
