Carlos I Polvorones from Obrador Real Confitería, handmade following a historical recipe recovered in the late 19th century in Estepa, Seville. In 1959, Obrador Real de Confitería inherited this tradition linked to the Christmas sweet. They are slow-baked in a wood-fired oven and may show slight size variations due to their artisanal preparation. The recipe includes wheat flour, icing sugar, Iberian pork lard and selected ground Marcona almonds; the lard includes rosemary extracts as an antioxidant. This limited edition is presented in a folding box with embossed printing, relief and selective UV on a soft-touch finish, containing 390 grams. Box size: 28cmx19x3. Each batch is numbered and each polvorón has a numbered label identifying its exclusive character. Contains gluten and almond. May contain traces of peanuts, soy, mustard, sesame seeds and other nuts.
