Alta Alella Orbus is an organic red wine made from Syrah grapes by Alta Alella.
The grapes are harvested by hand and the best grapes from each of our Syrah plots are carefully selected. The grapes are then destemmed and selected berry by berry only those that are still intact. They are placed in stainless steel tanks where they will begin the maceration that will last 30 days during which the alcoholic fermentation will take place.
During maceration, the submerged cap technique is used to avoid oxidation.
During this time, two delestages are also carried out to obtain maximum extraction. After a light pressing, the wine is placed in first and second year French oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. After 14 months of ageing, it is bottled and aged for a minimum of one year in the bottle before being released for sale. Magnificent evolution in the bottle.
View- High robe wine. Bigarreau cherry colour with violet reflections.
Nose- Aromas of violets, ripe fruit, balsamic, spices (clove) and tobacco very well integrated with the notes of vanilla and toast from the ageing process.
Palate- Tasty, voluminous and well-structured. Reminiscent of ripe fruit, balsamic and spicy aromas. Noble, well-integrated tannins. Long and complex finish.
