Calafuria Tormaresca is a rosé wine made from Negroamaro grapes in the Salento IGT region (Italy) by the Tormaresca winery.
Calafuria was born in the homonymous estate, owned by the Antinori family and located in Apulia, in the Salento area.
It is produced exclusively with Negroamaro grapes, selected by hand, gently destemmed and pressed. The must obtained is deposited in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 10ºC. Subsequently, fermentation is carried out at a low temperature, around 16ºC, to keep the primary aromas of the grapes intact. The wine is then aged briefly in steel and for 4 months in the bottle before being released onto the market.
It is a seductive wine of a bright pink colour with coral reflections.
On the nose, fresh fragrances of white flowers, hints of thyme and the citrus essence of orange peel.
On the palate, there is a sensation of freshness and vitality, with a delicate, fruity and long-lasting aftertaste.
