Elaboration and aging
Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is a wine with the designation Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, made 100% with Tempranillo grapes.
Aged for 33 months in new and used French and American oak barrels.
The harvest was marked by winter drought and scarce water reserves in the vineyard. Matured better were the adult plants, with controlled yields, located in poor and worked soils. A continental summer, with a cycle end of sharp thermal contrasts between day and night, led to a slow ripening of the clusters, which arrived at the winery with little weight and high concentration.
