This Rioja Reserve is a good representative of the profile of Remelluri wines, the estate that Jaime Rodríguez Salís acquired in 1967 and that was previously exploited by the Jeronimos of the monastery of Our Lady of Toloño, in the rich region of Labastida in Rioja Alavesa. This winery is currently a classic in La Rioja due to the consistency of its wines. This is demonstrated by this red wine with rich fruity and spicy expression and a mature and elegant profile.
Varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Mazuelo, Viura. Tasting note: Sight: Cherry red with a garnet rim. Nose: Elegant, notes of orange, fleshy red fruit, accompanied by hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Mineral background. Palate: Satin texture, with round tannins, classic and balanced. Good acidity. Pleasant aftertaste. Service temperature and pairing: 16 ºC. Excellent with meat stews such as oxtail and legumes.
