Viña Sastre Crianza 2019, made with tempranillo and aged for 14 months in oak barrels, shows us a smooth wine, with hints of black fruits, sweet and balanced. One of the good crianzas from the D.O.
In the 1950s, Severiano Sastre started with the wines of the winery in La Horra, Ribera del Duero. Currently, they continue with the same philosophy of small production with unlimited care.
Viña Sastre Crianza 2019 is a single-varietal wine made from Tinta del País grapes. The grapes are grown in vineyards that are 20 to 60 years old, at an altitude of 800m, on the slopes of the Duero River, in the town of Roa, which is part of the Duero Designation of Origin (D.O.). Viña Sastre Crianza is made in an artisanal manner, which means no mineral fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides are used.
After maceration and fermentation, Viña Sastre Crianza is aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels, with four rackings.
Viña Sastre Crianza is ideal to accompany aged cheeses, beef, mature cheeses, big game, mushrooms, and roasted lamb.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 15 and 17°C.
