The Sericis Cepas Viejas Monastrell, from D.O.P. Alicante, is a creation by Bodegas Murviedro that reflects the winemaking tradition of the region. The grapes used for this wine are harvested by hand, followed by destemming and gentle crushing. The prefermentative maceration takes place at low temperatures for 3-4 days, followed by controlled fermentation at a maximum of 26ºC for 21 days. This wine is aged for a minimum of 12 months in French oak barrels, giving it a unique and elegant character. The tasting note describes an intense red color with purple reflections, highlighting an intense aroma of very ripe fruit with touches of toasted oak. On the palate, it is fleshy, complex, with balanced tannins and a roasted finish that delights the senses.
