Tamerán Vijariego 2021 is a wine made from native Vijariego Blanco grapes grown in volcanic soils. This wine is fermented in barrels with native yeasts and ages for 9 months, giving it a unique and mineral character.
Tamerán Vijariego 2021 is an exceptional wine from the island of Gran Canaria, the result of a careful production process. This wine is made from own-rooted Vijariego Blanco vines, grown in volcanic soils that contribute minerality and uniqueness to the product. Fermentation takes place in barrels using native yeasts, further enhancing its special character. After fermentation, the wine ages for 9 months on its lees in 500-liter barrels, granting it complexity and structure. Tamerán is a new winemaking project that started in 2019, led by David Silva, who acquired a large estate in central Gran Canaria, cultivating several native varieties such as Verdello, Marmajuelo, and Malvasía. The estate is located between 620 and 700 meters in altitude, covering the municipalities of Santa Lucía and San Bartolomé de Tirajana, benefiting from the unique conditions of the volcanic environment.
