Tokyo Gomez Rojo Brut Nature Pedro Ximénez is a sparkling white wine made from Pedro Ximénez grapes in the DO Murcia by the Casa Rojo winery.
The vintage for Tokyo Gomez Rojo in the Sierra de la Pila was truly exceptional, albeit with an unexpected weather ending. After a winter with adequate rainfall, we experienced an exceptional spring and summer that allowed perfect ripening of our Pedro Ximénez for the production of this sparkling wine. However, the harvest was affected by a climatic phenomenon known as DANA, which brought heavy rains that affected the Mediterranean, although fortunately less intensely in the Altiplano Murciano.
As for the characteristics of the wine, it is a complex and versatile sparkling wine. It has a golden color and an intense and deep nose, with a broad aromatic profile ranging from the freshness of green fruit to sweeter notes, such as honey, as well as a marked bakery profile due to its long aging on lees. On the palate, it is sweet and has a smooth entry with a fresh and persistent finish. Its lingering aftertaste remains balanced thanks to its well-integrated acidity.
