Ribera del Duero (Spain)

Net weight:

Bosque de Matasnos is a unique red wine, crafted at high altitude in the Ribera del Duero. With a blend of Tempranillo, Merlot, Malbec, and Garnacha, it offers a rich and complex tasting experience. Its aging takes place in French and American oak barrels, enhancing its vinous character. Ideal for pairing with poultry and meats, this wine reveals a perfect balance between acidity and maturity.
Bosque de Matasnos is a very special red wine, grown on a vineyard located 950 meters above sea level in Peñaranda de Duero, Burgos. Its distinctive altitude and its blend, which consists of 90% Tempranillo, 5% Merlot, 3% Malbec, and 2% Garnacha, make it a surprising and delightful choice. This wine is made from selected grapes, harvested between October 8 and 21, with an average yield of less than 3000 kg per hectare, primarily from old vines, adding quality and uniqueness to each bottle. The aging of Bosque de Matasnos takes place in new French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels that have been dried for 36 months, both of high quality. This careful process allows the wine to remain in the bottle for 12 months, imparting a notable aromatic complexity. Visually, it presents an intense red color with violet reflections and a dense layer. On the nose, it stands out with complex aromas of ripe fruit, well-integrated wood, spices, and hints of vanilla and cocoa. On the palate, there is an excellent balance between acidity and fruit maturity, with sweet tannins and a long finish reminiscent of elegant spices. This wine is perfect for pairing with dishes such as stewed poultry, red meats, blue fish, sausages, and foie gras. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius to enjoy its fullness. Originating from the Ribera del Duero designation of origin, Bosque de Matasnos is undoubtedly a quality choice for wine lovers.
