Les Terrasses is a red wine aged and one of the classic wines from the Alvaro Palacios winery.
Founded in 1989 in the town of Gratallops, the Álvaro Palacios winery has 25 hectares of its own vineyards on slate slopes and terraces.
Les Terrasses is a blend of the Carignan, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah varieties. The grapes come from old vineyards of small estates in the area, all controlled by the winery. For its elaboration, vinification is carried out in stainless steel, concrete, and different wood tanks. This way, they try to extract the maximum expression of the grape and the terroir.
After vinification, Les Terrasses undergoes aging for 12 months in French oak barrels, with 20% of the barrels being new and 80% being used barrels from the second and third year.
Les Terrasses is ideal to accompany roasts, red meats, meat stews, and small game dishes.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
