Macán Clásico 2022 is a distinguished red wine from Rioja, crafted by the prestigious joint project of Tempos Vega Sicilia and the Rothschild family. It is mainly composed of the Tempranillo variety, complemented by a small addition of Garnacha, sourced from selected vineyards in Rioja Alavesa and Sonsierra. The 2022 vintage, characterized by a warm climate, allowed for harvesting the grapes at just the right moment, prioritizing freshness and avoiding overripening. The aging process, lasting for 10 months, combines the use of oak barrels, large fudres, and stainless steel tanks, which reduces the influence of wood in favor of a fruitier expression.
