Espelt Vidiví is an ecological red wine from the D.O. Empordà, created by the family winery Espelt Viticultors located in Vilajuïga. This wine belongs to a surrealism-inspired collection and combines the grape varieties Garnacha Tinta, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes come from vineyards growing on clayey granite soils, exposed to the Tramontana wind, which adds a unique character to the wine. Its production is completed by careful aging of 12 months in second and third-year French oak barrels, which gives it remarkable complexity and structure. In the glass, Espelt Vidiví presents a high-layered purple color. On the nose, it unfolds intense aromas of black and red fruit, along with menthol notes. When aerated, the wine reveals hints of violets and aromatic herbs like thyme, adding freshness and complexity to the aroma.
