Amaren Selection of Vineyards 2020 is the emblem of Bodega Amaren, founded by the Luis Cañas family in homage to Ángeles, mother of Juan Luis Cañas. This wine is produced from selected plots of old vineyards in Rioja Alavesa, expressing the character of the vineyard more than traditional aging categories. Fermentation in concrete and aging in different types of barrels allow for a fruity and mineral expression of the wine, with a potential longevity of about 15 years. On the nose, it stands out for its intense aromas of cherry, blackberry, and violets, with perfect integration of wood. On the palate, it is silky and balanced, ideal for pairing with red meats, game, and aged cheeses, offering a long finish with red fruits and an elegant mineral background.
