Antinori Tignanello 2022 is one of the most emblematic wines of Tuscany and a historical reference of the so-called "Super Tuscans". Made by the Marchesi Antinori family, it comes exclusively from the Tenuta Tignanello vineyard, located in the heart of Chianti Classico , at an altitude of 350-400 meters above sea level on limestone soils. The wine is made primarily from Sangiovese , accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc , a blend that combines Tuscan tradition with a modern approach.
Each parcel is vinified separately and the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and aging for just over 13 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels , followed by an additional period of bottle refining before release. This process adds depth, structure and great aromatic complexity, while maintaining the characteristic elegance of Sangiovese.
The nose is intense and refined, with aromas of cherry, red fruits and pomegranate , accompanied by notes of violet, spices, vanilla and balsamic nuances. The palate is ample and structured, with silky tannins, good acidity and a long, elegant finish. A great Tuscan red wine with remarkable cellaring capacity, ideal to accompany red meats, game dishes or cured cheeses.
