Esprit Leflaive Gevrey-Chambertin 2023 is part of a project created by Domaine Leflaive in 2018, aimed at expanding its philosophy to other great Burgundy appellations. This wine is made from selected grapes from external growers while maintaining the vinification and aging process under the expert guidance of Leflaive's team. The 2023 vintage is particularly harmonious and expressive, benefiting from 18 months of aging that adds depth to the Pinot Noir without masking its character. The Craite Paille climate contributes to the balance between power and finesse in the wine, which can be enjoyed when young or cellared for 10 to 15 years. Its aromas of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, violet, and rose petals are complemented by notes of licorice and spices. On the palate, it is structured and silky, with mature tannins and a long, spicy finish. Perfect for pairing with game, duck, red meats, and aged cheeses.
