Guelbenzu EVO 2018 is a red wine from the IGP Ribera del Queiles made by Bodegas Guelbenzuin Finca La Lombana (Vierlas, Zaragoza) , at the foot of the Moncayo. The vineyards are grown on stony soils of alluvial origin, in an environment where the influence of the continental climate and altitude favor a balanced ripening of the grapes.
It is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah , varieties grown on the estate. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels , followed by a period of refinement in the bottle.
The nose presents aromas of ripe black fruit, spicy notes and balsamic hints , accompanied by toasted nuances from the aging. The palate is balanced and structured , with ripe tannins, good concentration and a long, elegant finish.
