Avancia Godello is a white wine produced in the D.O. Valdeorras by Bodegas Ordóñez, belonging to the Jorge Ordoñez group.
Avancia Godello is a single varietal of the Godello variety. The grapes come from old vineyards 40 years old planted on terraces on slopes at an average altitude of 500 meters above sea level. The soils are limestone soils with some granite, which gives the wine a very special minerality.
The grapes are harvested by hand, in small boxes to avoid any unwanted breakage before reaching the winery. On arrival at the winery, a selection of the best grapes is made. Fermentation takes place in large barrels of 500-600 liters of French oak, where it is aged for 7 months.
A tasty Godello, with a lot of personality and saline and mineral hints.
