Brega is an exclusive red Garnacha wine produced by Jorge Ordóñez at his winery Breca, located in the Denomination of Origin Calatayud, Aragón. This wine comes from century-old vineyards planted between 1900 and 1911, grown at high altitude in slate and quartzite-siliceous soils that are rich in iron. This unique combination of factors contributes to the wine's intensity and complexity. Completely made from Garnacha grapes, Brega stands out for its robust body, harmonious balance, and a long finish that delights the palate. The vinification follows traditional methods, starting with spontaneous fermentation using native yeasts in open stainless steel tanks. Brega ages for 20 months, the first 10 in French oak barrels (40% new) and the remainder in neutral 600-liter barrels, allowing it to develop a distinctive character without losing the essence of the variety.
