Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Salinillas de Buradón 2020 is a renowned red wine from the DOCa Rioja, made by Bodegas Remelluri. This wine is produced within the Lindes project, an effort to highlight the distinctive character of different historical villages in the region. This particular wine comes from Salinillas de Buradón in Rioja Alavesa, an area known for its mountain vineyards located on the slopes of the Sierra de Toloño. Made primarily from Tempranillo (approximately 91%), along with Garnacha and other traditional varieties, this wine represents the essence of vineyards aged between 30 and 50 years, cultivated in clay-limestone soils with quartz. Harvesting is done by hand to ensure the selection of the best grapes. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine matures for approximately 12 months in oak barrels of various sizes and ages, allowing it to faithfully express the character of the vineyard and its location. On the nose, this wine is elegant and expressive, with dominant aromas of red and black fruit such as cherry and blueberry, complemented by floral, spicy hints and a distinctive mineral backbone. On the palate, it presents itself as balanced and fresh, with fine tannins and good acidity, culminating in a long finish where mineral and slightly saline notes are appreciated. This Rioja stands out for its terroir personality, making it an ideal companion for roasted meats, game, or traditional cuisine.
