Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Salinillas de Buradón 2020 is a red wine from the DOCa Rioja produced by Bodegas Remelluri , within the Lindes project, which seeks to reflect the character of different historic villages in the region. In this case it comes from the small municipality of Salinillas de Buradón , in Rioja Alavesa, an area of mountain vineyards located on the slopes of the Sierra de Toloño. The wine is made mainly from Tempranillo (approx. 91%) accompanied by Garnacha and other traditional varieties , from vineyards between 30 and 50 years old planted on clay-limestone soils with quartz.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for approximately 12 months in oak barrels of different sizes and ages , seeking to faithfully express the character of the vineyard and the village of origin.
The nose is elegant and expressive, with aromas of red and black fruit such as cherry and blueberry , accompanied by floral and spicy notes and a very characteristic mineral background. The palate is balanced and fresh, with fine tannins, good acidity and a long finish with mineral and slightly saline nuances. A Rioja with terroir personality, ideal to accompany grilled meats, small game or traditional dishes.
