This wine comes from the heart of Rioja. Macan 2017 expresses its roots by seeking harmony. It is made only with Tempranillo grapes, always using selected grapes from old plots on very high terraces and poor soils. Always using grapes selected from old plots settled on very high terraces and poor soils , this vintage was a challenge due to the frost that took place on April 28. The Benjamin de Rothschild Vega-Sicilia winery had to adapt their entire process with special care. During the aging , the fudre played a very important role to polish the tannin texture and the barrel helped to work the sucrosity , using 50% new barrels.This Macán 2017 is a very challenging vintage. It is a wine with freshness, race and depth.
