Marqués de Riscal Finca Móntico Verdejo Organic 2024 is one of the most ambitious whites from the DO Rueda, resulting from the careful cultivation of a historic vineyard over 50 years old, grown organically. This practice allows the character of the Verdejo and the terroir to express themselves in a pure and authentic way. The winemaking process is equally innovative and careful, combining spontaneous fermentation with extended aging on lees in various containers like stainless steel, concrete, and large fudres. This methodology adds complexity, volume, and texture, all without sacrificing the freshness characteristic of the best whites. On the nose, this wine presents an intense and complex profile, evoking notes of white fruit, citrus, fennel, aromatic herbs, and aniseed nuances, complemented by subtle toasted and creamy hints from its aging. On the palate, the wine is unctuous, balanced, and fresh, featuring good acidity and a broad texture.
