Marqués de Valdueza Etiqueta Roja 2018 is a red wine made by Marqués de Valdueza on the Perales de Valdueza estate , located near Mérida, within the Protected Geographical Indication Vino de la Tierra de Extremadura. It is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (approx. 62%) and Syrah (38%) , varieties that combine freshness and structure with a very expressive fruit profile.
After the grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected, the wine is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels , a process that adds complexity and balance without hiding the character of the fruit.
The nose presents aromas of ripe black fruit such as plum , accompanied by floral, spicy and delicate toasted notes from the aging. The palate is savory, concentrated and balanced , with good structure and a long, elegant finish.
