Mouth: Untuoso y seco al paladar.
Nose: Recuerdos de maderas nobles y frutos secos de cáscara.
Mark: Bodegas Barbadillo
Oloroso "Cuco" de Barbadillo is a fortified wine from D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry made by Bodegas Barbadillo from 100% Palomino Fino from vineyards in the Marco de Jerez. It is an oloroso of limited production that ages for many years through the traditional system of criaderas and soleras , developing great complexity and concentration.
Unlike finos or manzanillas, this wine ages through oxidative aging , which allows it to acquire greater body, color and aromatic richness. Prolonged aging in oak barrels provides depth and remarkable intensity on the nose and palate.
The nose presents intense aromas of dried fruits such as walnuts and hazelnuts , accompanied by notes of noble wood, spices and toasted hints. The palate is dry, structured and very persistent , with an ample texture and a long, elegant finish. A generous wine ideal to accompany cured cheeses, game meats or traditional stews , and also perfect to enjoy as an after-dinner wine.
