Kolor 2020 is a distinctive red wine from the Bierzo Denomination of Origin, created by the renowned winemaker Raúl Pérez. Made from 100% Mencía variety, this wine represents a unique essence due to the old vines of over 50 years, mainly found in Valtuille de Abajo. The harvest is done manually, ensuring the selection of the best grapes. The winemaking process includes fermentation with whole clusters in large oak vats, giving the wine an exceptional structure. After fermentation, Kolor 2020 matures for about 12 months, using both used barrels and cement tanks. This method helps preserve the pure expression of the grapes, as the wine is bottled without clarification or filtration. The result is a wine that stands out on the nose with a floral and fresh profile, featuring notes of violet, red fruits, and mineral nuances, accompanied by subtle toasted touches that add complexity. On the palate, it presents as a balanced and juicy wine, with good acidity and a rounded texture. Its elegant fruity character reflects the authenticity of Bierzo's Mencía, inviting a unique sensory experience with every sip.
