Remírez de Ganuza UV 2022 is a red wine from the DOCa Rioja produced by Bodegas Remírez de Ganuzain San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja Alavesa). It is produced with 100% Tempranillo from the La Rad vineyard, planted in 1973 and located in the high and cool part of the Sonsierra. The name UV refers toÚnico Viñedo, reflecting its origin in a single plot

The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes and pass through a selection table. After a 48-hour cold maceration , fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts and the wine is aged for around 16 months in 233 L French oak barrels. This is a very limited production wine, with only 1,642 bottles in the 2022 vintage.

The nose is elegant and fragrant, with aromas of red fruit, floral notes and delicate balsamic nuances. The palate is fresh and balanced, with fine tannins, good acidity and a long finish that accurately reflects the character of the vineyard and the Sonsierra landscape.
