Sierra Cantabria Colección Privada 2023 is an exceptional red wine from the prestigious DOCa Rioja. This wine is produced by Bodegas Sierra Cantabria, a well-known family winery of the Eguren family, located in Rioja Alavesa. It mainly uses old Tempranillo grapes from vineyards located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, grown on clay-limestone soils that impart unique balance and character to the wine. The production process includes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in French and American oak barrels for approximately 14 months. This careful aging is essential for achieving a high-quality wine, and after a period of bottle refinement, the aromas integrate, and the wine's structure softens.
