500ml
Collected in the first week of October, when the Arbequina olive is still at its optimal point of early ripeness, ELIXIR de Cuadrat Valley, is much more than an extra virgin olive oil: it is a pure expression of nature, precision, and excellence.

Its unique character comes from its intense freshness, with a markedly vegetal and vibrant profile, accompanied by a subtle spiciness reminiscent of chili and freshly ground pepper, leaving a sophisticated and persistent aftertaste.

To obtain just one liter of this liquid treasure, an average of 11 kg of Arbequina olives are required, carefully selected and cold-pressed a few hours after harvest. Its extraordinarily low acidity reflects its purity and care, positioning it among the great EVOOs in the world.
ELIXIR is not just an oil: it is a sensory experience, designed for those who value the exceptional.
Made in Spain Gourmet always guarantees you the best of Spanish gastronomy.

THE HARVEST AT CUADRAT VALLEY

The oils come from the same variety of olive, the arbequina, cultivated in the family olive grove Cuadrat Valley. They are all "EXTRA VIRGIN DOP Les Garrigues". The different harvest periods of our olives result in a difference in the maturity of the fruit and the fruity notes of the oil, which are expressed in our four varieties or selections.
All of them offer the fiery fruity notes of fresh olives, with green aromas of grass and artichoke, intermingled with subtle hints of almonds and fresh apples. Additionally, they contain all the essential nutrients: fatty acids (protection against vascular diseases), aromatic molecules (antioxidants), vitamins A and E.
Technical data:
Producer: Cuadrat Valley
Origin: L’Albagès (Lleida)
Variety: Arbequina
Tasting notes - AOVE ELIXIR · Cuadrat ValleyVisual phase:
Golden green color, bright and clean, with reflections that evoke the still young olive. Its density is medium, elegant in the glass, anticipating its sensory richness.
Olfactory phase:
On the nose, it is intense and fresh, with a distinctly green and vegetal profile. Aromas of freshly cut grass, olive leaf, artichoke, and a subtle background of green almond can be appreciated. Complexity unfolds with nuances of tomato vine and green apple, announcing an early and careful harvest.
Gustatory phase:
In the mouth, it is balanced and powerful. Silky and fluid at first, it leads to a medium-high intensity, with flavors that confirm what was perceived on the nose: herbaceous notes, raw almond, and a balsamic touch. The pungency and bitterness are present, well integrated, with a slightly sharp finish reminiscent of green chili and white pepper, providing a lively and elegant sensation.
Aftertaste:
Persistent, complex, and harmonious. The taste lingers for a long time, with echoes of green leaves, mild spices, and a freshness that invites another bite.
Recommended pairing:
Ideal raw on artisanal bread, fresh tomatoes, carpaccios, white fish, or seafood. It also enhances mild cheeses, grilled vegetables, and high-end vegetable-based dishes.

The Estate

Cuadrat Valley is located in the province of Lleida (Spain), between the towns of Albagés and Juncosa, 120 km west of Barcelona. In the 90 hectares of land, 62 are dedicated to olive cultivation, and the rest of the estate houses native shrubs, orchards, forests, a truffle oak grove, almond trees...
Cuadrat Valley is nestled in the heart of beautifully preserved nature that the artistic dry stone construction, inscribed in the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, has shaped. The terraces, watering holes, and iconic vaulted cabins of the Les Garrigues region envelop, shape, and humanize the landscape.

The Arbequina

Small, round, symmetrical, highly aromatic, and pale green in color, the arbequina is a typical olive from Catalonia. It is the star of Les Garrigues. Legend has it that it was brought from Palestine in the 18th century by the Duke of Medinaceli, lord of Arbeca and descendant
