Más información

Markus Molitor, current manager of the winery that bears his name, decided to take over the family business in 1984, when he was 20 years old. The winery has been run by the Molitor family for 8 generations. However, from its beginnings it set out to produce some of the best Riesling in Moselle. He grows Pinot Blanc and Riesling and some of his plots have slate soils and are located on slopes that are up to 80% sloping.

The Markus Molitor Alte Reben Mosel Trocken vineyards are among the oldest in the winery. Their vines are between 80 and 100 years old and are located on steep plots on the banks of the Moselle, in the Middle Mosel. They are harvested by hand so that the bunches arrive whole and unbroken at the winery.

Once in the winery the Markus Molitor Alte Reben Mosel Trocken harvest is pressed and the must then macerates for a few hours with the skins to extract its aromatic compounds. After fermentation the must ferments with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels. Finally, the wine is aged for a few months on the lees to give it complexity and creaminess.

Markus Molitor Alte Reben Mosel Trocken is a Riesling from Moselle dry by hand, fresh and aromatic balanced by a great minerality and a complex mouth and a long aftertaste.
