These nougat almonds are almond-shaped wafers that have stone ground nougat inside. Also known as almond shells
The filled almonds is a very select product that combines two elements that are usually used in the Jijonenca pastry: the wafer and the stone-baked nougat.
The turrón a la piedra contains toasted almonds, cinnamon, grated lemon and sugar.
