It is one of the most consumed mushrooms and two varieties are distinguished: the cultivated (Agaricus Bisorus) and the wild (Agaricus Arvensis)
It stands out for its remineralizing and antioxidant properties, and also contains proteins that are easy to assimilate. It has a high water content and a great variety of minerals, among which Selenium, Phosphorus, Magnesium and Potassium stand out. On the other hand, it has a low caloric content, so it is recommended in cleansing and slimming diets. As it contains healthy fats, it does not produce cholesterol.
Mushrooms easily absorb heavy metals and radioactivity so it is recommended to buy them cultivated and not to collect them near roads and industries. Likewise, if they are consumed wild, check that they do not contain parasites, that they are not contaminated and that they are not poisonous species
