Layac is, first and foremost, a family adventure led with passion by Céline and Julien. It was during a trip to Mexico that they discovered wood-fire roasted coffee. It was a true gustatory love at first taste for them, which pushed them a few years later to create their own wood-fire roasting workshop in Vitrac, near Sarlat in Dordogne.
Layac exclusively roasts specialty beans, organic or from sustainable agriculture. The wood used for roasting is local and certified as being sourced from sustainably managed forests. Layac is also committed and donates a portion of its profits to a foundation that supports research and innovation to make the daily lives of people with motor disabilities easier.
