Elaboration and aging

Lafou El Sender is a blend of the Garnacha, Syrah, and Morenillo grape varieties. The grapes were destemmed and then cold macerated. The must fermented at a controlled temperature and was aged in French oak barrels (80%) and Central European oak barrels (20%) for 6 months.

Tasting Notes of Lafou El Sender

  • Appearance: Lafou El Sender has a deep cherry garnet color, bright.
  • Nose: Its aromas begin with sweet notes of nuts (raw hazelnut, sun-dried tomato), quickly opening up to undergrowth notes. A very fresh ensemble, evolving towards black fruit, plum, and olive notes, giving a solemn base of great depth.
  • Palate: On the palate, it lives up to the freshness anticipated on the nose. It has a lively entry, with acidity that nicely tenses the core of the wine, providing the balance of freshness and sweetness that characterizes Garnacha tinta. Long finish, where a small hint of bitterness provides sensations of dark chocolate, blending with mineral notes of wet stone.

Pairing

Lafou El Sender is ideal for accompanying white meats, poultry stews, and roast chicken.

It is recommended to consume this red wine at a temperature between 14 and 16ºC.
