Rueda Loess Verdejo wine.

Elaboration and aging

Loess Verdejo has been made with Verdejo grapes (100%) from a 4 ha vineyard planted on a terrace above the Duero River in 1998, without irrigation and with a special soil composed of sand, pebbles, and clay-limestone. The grapes macerate in stainless steel tanks at a temperature below 8ºC. Once pressed, the fermentation also takes place in steel tanks.

Once finished, the wine remains on its lees for a period of time with periodic battonages to further round out the flavors.

Tasting notes for Loess Verdejo

• Appearance: Loess Verdejo has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and a steely rim, very clean and very bright.
• Nose: It has a high-intensity, clean, and fragrant nose. It is a very aromatic white wine with expressive white fruit and elegant hints of tropical fruit, with citrus notes in the foreground and a pleasant background of white flowers. It has a varietal character.
• Palate: Very pleasant entry. Light, intense, and unctuous on the palate. Plenty of fruitiness. Very good acidity, which encourages drinking. Long and persistent finish that leaves citrus notes on the nose.

Pairing

Loess Verdejo is ideal for accompanying grilled seafood, smoked dishes, lightly seasoned salads, baked white fish, sushi, fish rice dishes, and mild appetizers.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 10ºC.
