This La Planta 2020 medium-bodied wine, the all-terrain of the winery, is made with tinto fino grapes from vines over 20 years old from their estate that gives the wine its name. It is structured and meaty, and surprises us with its smoothness and freshness.

Production and Aging

For the production of La Planta 2020, the grapes are hand-harvested at the optimal level of ripeness and collected in 15kg boxes. Then, the clusters are selected on a sorting table and later destemmed and placed in stainless steel tanks. Cold maceration takes place, followed by fermentation at temperatures ranging from 22ºC to 24ºC. The wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 6 months to achieve a fruit-filled wine with maturity and elegance.

  • Appearance: La Planta has a cherry red color, medium-high intensity with violet edges.
  • Nose: Fresh aromas, high fruitiness (blackcurrant), licorice, with hints of toasted noble woods.
  • Palate: The sensations found on the nose are a perfect prelude to a velvety and flavorful palate. The fruitiness (youthfulness) is perfectly balanced with the elegance of the wood. It is a mature and round semi-aged wine.

Pairing

Grilled meats, but we consider it an "all-rounder" due to its fruitiness and elegance.
