Viñas del Vero Chardonnay Barrica 2018

Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the two chosen vineyards. Two rich and concentrated musts were obtained from them with a difference in time of 6 days. Both musts were put into new 228-litre "pièces bourguignones" of five different types of toast, to ferment in them in pursuit of the elegance and complexity necessary for a wine of these characteristics. After fermentation, it rested with its lees for 6 months in the barrel. During this period a meticulous work of "batonnage" was carried out, which gave the wine an excellent unctuousness. Of a golden yellow colour and greenish iridescence, citrus and ripe tropical fruit aromas, it presents a pleasant bouquet in balance with the toasted tones of the new wood. In the mouth it is smooth and dense, with a very tasty, long palate and denoting the interesting acidity that takes it to our northern latitude.

Should be served at a temperature between 7 and 9ºC, ideal for pairing with smoked meats, oily fish, light meats and cheeses with character.
