The 12-year-old malt whisky, The Antiquary, has been produced in Scotland since the 15th century. Originally, it was illegally produced by the landowner who owned the land, but in 1897 they began producing with a license.
The Antiquary, named after the novel written by Sir Walter Scott, a famous Scottish writer, is one of the oldest and most recognized Scottish whiskies in the world.
The Whisky The Antiquary 12 years is made in the Highlands of Scotland. This whisky has been matured in oak barrels for 12 years. Its composition combined with the long aging period give the whisky an unparalleled smoothness.
The Antiquary distillery has grown significantly since its creation and during the 70s they were the largest producers of Scottish Malt Whisky in the world. They currently produce 2 million liters per year.
