Castilla-LeónbyBodegas Mauro.Bodegas Mauro is the personal project of winemaker Mariano García, known for being the technical manager of Vega Sicilia for 30 years, and now for producing exceptional quality red wines in Tudela del DueroValladolidBodegas Mauro and Mariano García have gradually established themselves as the great references of the V.T Castilla-LeónMaurois made from Tempranilloand a small percentage of SyrahThe grapes come from the Tudela de Duero and Traspinedo estates whose soils are characterised by their light, highly filtered and balanced texture, limestone or clay-limestone, depending on the plot.For its production, after a meticulous selection, the grapes are transferred to different tanks depending on the varieties, the estates and the production areas. In these tanks a conventional vinification process is carried out, after which Mauro is aged for 16 months in French Allier and Nevers oak barrels, and American oak barrels of different toasts.Power combined with balance and elegance characterise Mauro, which vintage after vintage has received critical acclaim.
