In 1770, the Abbey of Montserrat ordered the construction of the Finca L'Aranyó, an inhospitable place in an area known for its extreme climate and harsh conditions. Disobedient friars were sent there to purge their penance by tilling this land. They were the ones who discovered a terroir with good potential to produce a superior wine. According to legend, large barrels mysteriously disappeared, although others said that angels carried them to the heights. This is the moment to verify the grandeur of a completely mystical wine, which with this 2022 now celebrates its tenth vintage. To celebrate this milestone, it incorporates for the first time in its blend the ancestral variety Gonfaus, replacing Cariñena and Syrah. In this way, in addition to adapting to climate change, Familia Torres is committed to a unique and differentiating proposal focused on the region's native grapes.
